How should I prepare for the session?

To prepare for an energy healing session, I recommend the following:

✨ Set your intention: be open and receptive to whatever is ready to present itself. The more you can open yourself up, and let go of expectations, the more susceptible you will be to the energy.

✨ Try to relax: before the session, take a moment to calm your mind and get into a relaxed state (as much as your situation allows). Go for a walk in nature, take some deep breaths, listen to some relaxing music, take a bath, or do a meditation. Anything that helps your mind to quiet down.

✨ Drink some water before the session: this will help you stay hydrated and flush out any toxins.

✨ Eat a light meal up to a few hours before the session. Do not eat right before the session starts.

✨ Trust the process: you felt called to this session for a reason. Don’t worry about whatever sensations you might feel during the session; just set the intention to observe them without judgment and let them go.

To prepare for a distance healing session: find a cozy and quiet place where you can lie down and relax. Make sure to turn off any devices so you don’t get disturbed.

What can I expect during the session?

During an in-person energy healing session:

✨ You will lie down on a comfortable table, fully clothed, and relax.

✨ Depending on the type of session, I will either place my hands on or above your body in a Reiki session, or use the ankh to locate and clear energy blocks in an Ankh healing session.

✨ You will receive healing energy that will flow to where it is needed in your body and mind. Be open and receptive to the energy and any sensations or emotions that may arise. 

✨ You may feel warmth, tingling, wavy sensations, blocks being released (a popping or cracking sound/feeling), intense relaxation, sleepiness, growling stomach, burping, coughing, body twitching, sudden emotions, or nothing at all. Whatever you feel, just observe it without judgment and let it go. Don’t suppress any emotions or sadness that come up, as they are part of the healing process.

 

During a distance energy healing session:

Find a cozy and quiet place at your home where you can lie down undisturbed and close your eyes.

Create a soothing atmosphere by playing some relaxing music and burning a scented candle or essential oil. 

✨ Be open and receptive to the healing energy and sensations that may arise in your body and mind.

✨ You may feel warmth, tingling, wavy sensations, blocks being released (a popping or cracking sound/feeling), intense relaxation, sleepiness, growling stomach, burping, coughing, body twitching, sudden emotions, or nothing at all. Whatever you feel, just observe it without judgment and let it go. Don’t suppress any emotions or sadness that come up, as they are part of the healing process.

✨ The above applies to any Distance Reiki healing session, and in some cases also to an Ankh Energy Activation (when used for healing purposes). In case an Ankh Energy Activation is done to boost/support your energy during a particular event, you do not need to lie down when I perform the activation.

What should I do after the session?

After an energy healing session, it is important to take it easy, and allow your body and mind to process the healing. The energy can continue to work for days after the session. Therefore, I advise you to:

✨ Drink plenty of water to help flush out any toxins from your system.

✨ Eat light and healthy foods.

✨ Rest and relax as much as possible, and avoid overly intense activities or stress where possible. If you feel like it, take a nap, journal, meditate, or spend some time in nature.

✨Take a bath or a shower to clear your aura.

✨ Be gentle and compassionate with yourself, and acknowledge your healing process. You may experience different emotions, sensations, or insights during or after the session. Just observe them without judgment and let them go.

✨ In case you experience any physical pain after the healing, then know that this is part of the healing process. Physical pain after the healing is a sign that your body is releasing old energy and healing itself. Don’t ignore or suppress the pain, but listen to what it is telling you and take good care of yourself.

What if I don't feel anything?

Some people may not feel anything during or after an energy healing session, but that does not mean that the healing is not working. Energy healing is a subtle and individual process, and everyone responds differently to it.

Here are some possible reasons why you may not feel anything:

✨ You may have a low level of sensitivity to energy, or you may be used to suppressing your emotions. In that case, you may not notice the subtle changes in your energy field or body. However, the healing energy is still flowing and working on you, even if you don’t feel it.

✨ You may have received the healing energy that you needed, but not what you expected or wanted. Sometimes, the healing energy goes to where it is most needed, which may not be the same as where you think you need it. For example, you may want to heal a physical pain, but the healing energy may go to heal an emotional wound that is causing the pain. In that case, you may not feel any immediate relief, but you may notice some improvement later on.

✨ You may need more time to process and integrate the healing energy. Sometimes, the healing energy works on a deeper level that is not immediately apparent. You may need to wait for a few days, weeks, or even months before you notice the effects of the healing. You may also need to experience some physical or emotional triggers that help you release the old energy and make room for the new energy.

✨ You may have released the healing energy through other means. Sometimes, the healing energy is not felt as a sensation, but as a physical or emotional reaction. You may feel sleepy, tired, thirsty, hungry, or have a headache after a healing session. You may also have some emotional outbursts, such as crying, laughing, or anger. These are signs that the healing energy is working and clearing out the old energy from your system.

✨ You were not able to relax and quiet your mind enough to feel the energy. When you feel tense or stressed, or feel skeptical of the process, your mind will get in the way of your ability to sense subtle energies.

So, if you don’t feel anything during or after an energy healing session, don’t worry! It doesn’t mean that the healing is not working. It just means that the healing is working in a different way than you expected. Trust the process and be patient with yourself 🤍

Are there potential risks or side effects?

Energy healing is a 100% natural practice that makes use of life force universal energy to remove blocks and increase your energy flow to improve your well-being.

Because the energy works on a soul level, you cannot receive what you aren’t ready to receive. Therefore, energy healing is actually one of the safest forms (if not the safest form) of healing available to you.

Some people may experience side effects after an energy healing session, but these are not necessarily negative or harmful. In fact, they can be seen as signs that the healing process is working and that your body and mind are releasing old energy and adjusting to the new energy flow.

The side effects that you might label as a potential risk include the following:

✨ Physical discomfort. Some people may feel pressure, heat, cold, tingling, or pain in the areas where the healer places their hands or tools. This pain or discomfort is a sign of energy blockages being released and rebalanced. 

Some people may experience physical pain after the healing is over. In case you experience any physical pain after the healing, then know that this is part of the healing process. Physical pain after the healing is a sign that your body is releasing old energy and healing itself. Please note: It is important that you don’t ignore or suppress the pain (!), but listen to what it is telling you and take good care of yourself. Consult me if the pain persists and we can determine what the options are, and whether another session is required.

✨ Energy healing may trigger emotional responses, such as crying, laughing, anger, sadness, or fear. These are signs of emotional healing or cleansing, but it can be overwhelming or distressing for some people. Don’t suppress these emotions, but allow them to flow out of your system.

✨ Energy healing may cause a temporary worsening of symptoms or the emergence of new symptoms, such as fatigue, headache, nausea, or flu-like feelings. This is a sign of the body detoxifying and adjusting itself to the new energy flow, but it might feel unpleasant or inconvenient.

✨ When booking an energy healing session, choose a qualified and trained healer who you trust and feel comfortable with. A good healer should have ethical standards, pure intentions, and a deep understanding of the energy system. As a certified Ankh Energy Healer and Reiki 2 Practitioner, I have undergone rigorous training and received the necessary initiations to offer these types of healing.

Which type of energy healing is best for me: Reiki or Ankh healing?

Reiki and Ankh healing are both forms of energy healing that involve channeling life force energy to remove blockages and improve your well-being. However, there are some differences, and Reiki and Ankh healing are often received as very different experiences.

In Reiki, the healing energy is transmitted via the hands, and in Ankh healing, the energy is transmitted via the ankh; a metal tool in the shape of the sacred ankh symbol of life and creation. 

In general, I would describe Reiki as a more subtle method, which helps with relaxation, stress reduction, pain relief, emotional relief and overall well-being. The Ankh amplifies the energy.

Ankh healing can feel more intense than Reiki. Ankh healing is great for deep healing, emotional release, boosting mood, boosting energy flow, removing blocks, expansion of consciousness, spiritual alignment and solid grounding.

The best type of energy healing for you may depend on your personal preferences, needs, goals, and sensitivity to the energy. During a session I will always tune into your energy and adjust according to your needs.

In case you book an in-person healing, we can decide during the session which type of healing is best for you. I can then feel and determine how you respond to the ankh’s energy. Sometimes, I combine both Reiki and the Ankh during a session.

During a Distance Energy Healing, I also combine both Reiki and the Ankh. This is the ‘go-t0’ healing I recommend. 

In case you have a challenging event or occurence coming up in your life, an Ankh energy activation can provide extra support during the time of that event. I use the Ankh for this because of its power.

How do I know if energy healing is for me?

Energy healing can have many benefits, such as relaxation, stress reduction, pain relief, emotional healing, and spiritual alignment. However, energy healing may not be for everyone, and it may depend on your personal preferences, needs, goals, and sensitivity to the energy.

Here are some possible ways to know if energy healing is for you:

✨ You are curious and open-minded about alternative forms of healing and understand that there is a lot more out there than what is covered by conventional medicine or science.

✨ You are highly sensitive to energy and can feel the subtle changes in your energy field or body.

✨ You have a holistic view of health and well-being, and you believe that your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects are interconnected.

✨ You have tried other forms of healing or therapy, but they did not work for you or address the root cause of your issues.

✨ You are looking for a natural, non-invasive, and gentle way of healing yourself or others.

✨ You are interested in exploring your inner self, your purpose, and your connection to the universe.
