Spread the love

I don’t know about you, but I spent most of my life searching for my purpose. Really searching — asking, trying, hoping, wondering why everyone else seemed to “know” while I still felt lost.

It wasn’t until I had a massive spiritual awakening in the forest (read it here – video about it will come soon) that I finally understood something important:
the only thing standing between me and my purpose… was me.

That realization was freeing, but it also opened up a whole new challenge.
When I decided, “Okay, I’m not going to block myself anymore. I’m going to live the life I actually want,” suddenly I became painfully aware of everything that was blocking me — old fears, conditioning, patterns I didn’t even know I had.

And throughout that whole process of clearing, healing, and reconnecting with myself, the Ankh became one of the tools that helped me the most.

That’s why this post exists.
I want to share what life purpose really means, what the Ankh actually is, how it can support you, and how you can work with it to clear the blocks that stand between you and the life you’re meant to live.

What Is An Ankh?

The Ankh is known as the symbol of life — often called the key of life.
But it’s not just “life” in a physical sense. It represents the full spectrum of life:

  • the tangible, seen, physical energies
  • and the unseen, spiritual, divine energies

The Ankh brings these worlds together.
It reminds us of the balance we need within ourselves: grounded in our human experience, but connected to something higher at the same time.

And you don’t need a specific type of Ankh to begin, but if you feel called to work with a physical Ankh, it’s usually best to use one around 20 cm. Different materials have different purposes, and if you want to use it for energy healing, look for a two-legged Ankh, not a one-legged one — it’s simply better suited for that kind of work.

But if you don’t have a physical Ankh, you can absolutely start with a visualized one. Both work beautifully.

What “Life Purpose” Really Means

When people ask about purpose, they often assume it’s one thing — a career, a mission, a clear life direction.
But I don’t see it that way.

To me, purpose has three levels, and understanding these can help you understand your path:

1. The Core Purpose

At the deepest level, I believe we all share a universal purpose:
to learn how to live from a place of love.
That’s the foundation.

2. The Karmic Purpose

Then there are your karmic patterns — the themes you’re here to work through in this lifetime.
For some people, it’s relationships.
For others, it’s money, survival, speaking their truth, trusting themselves, receiving love…

We each have a few (usually 3–5) main karmic knots.
Knowing yours is incredibly helpful, because your purpose is often closely tied to the fears, wounds, and patterns that keep repeating in your life.

3. The Outer Purpose

This is how you express your gifts, your healing, and your experiences in the world.
Your outer purpose often grows out of your wounds and the things you’ve overcome.
It can also be a natural talent or gift you’re meant to develop and share.

When you look at all three levels together, something inside you starts to click.
The direction becomes clearer.

Why Stillness Matters So Much

You can’t hear your intuition if your mind is constantly talking over it.

Stillness — even a few minutes — lets your intuition speak.
Meditation, mindfulness, being in nature… anything that calms your mind opens space for the answers you’ve been trying to reach.

When the noise quiets down, your inner knowing becomes louder. Because our purpose is something we remember.

How the Ankh Helps You Clear Blocks

Most of the time, it’s not the lack of purpose that holds you back — it’s the energetic blocks around it:

  • old pain
  • trauma
  • conditioning
  • fear

These block the flow of your life force and your clarity.

The Ankh can help you release those blocks.
It’s a tool for inner healing, self-inquiry, and energetic alignment. The more your physical and energetic body align with your higher self, the more free and connected you feel — and the easier it becomes to recognize your path.

An Ankh Visualization Practice

If you want to work with a visualized Ankh, here’s a simple way to start:

  1. Sit or lie down comfortably.
  2. Close your eyes and breathe deeply until you feel relaxed.
  3. Set a clear intention.
    It could be:
    • “Show me where I’m blocked.”
    • “Help me understand what I’m here to express.”
    • “Show me my gifts.”
  4. Visualize the Ankh floating in front of your heart.
  5. Feel its energy flowing through your body.
  6. Notice where the energy stops, feels heavy, or feels different.
  7. Ask:
    • “What is this block trying to tell me?”
    • “What energy wants to move through me?”
    • “What gifts am I not fully expressing yet?”
  8. Stay open. Don’t force an answer. Let your intuition show you.

This practice can reveal a lot — often more than you expect.

Working with a Physical Ankh

A physical Ankh is more somatic — more bodily, more tactile.

You sit the same way, breathe, open your energy, and then hold the Ankh in front of your heart.

You’ll start to feel its energy flowing through you, and it can show you where your blocks are.

Sometimes the Ankh will “guide” your hand — left, right, up, down — until it rests where something needs attention.

And when you hold it over a block, you don’t need to do anything.
The Ankh does the clearing through its own field.
You just sit, breathe, and allow.

This is one of the things I love most about using it physically — you don’t have to push or force anything. You just open, feel, and trust.

Emotions Are Part of the Process

A lot of people hold back from meditation or energy work because they’re afraid of what might come up — sadness, fear, discomfort. But those emotions are already in your system. Allowing them to rise is how you release them.

Sometimes when you hold the Ankh, you may feel a wave of energy move through you.
Sometimes there’s a sudden inner knowing: “This is right. This is mine.”

That’s normal.
And it’s a good sign.

Openness and Intention Matter More Than Anything

Energy work responds to your openness and your intention.
If you’re skeptical, guarded, or unsure, the results are weaker not because you’re doing it wrong, but because your system is still protecting itself. That’s okay.

Openness is a practice.
Intention is a practice.
Sensing energy is a practice.

Allow yourself time to learn.

Your Path Unfolds As You Listen

Once I learned to truly listen to my intuition, the answers started coming — not all at once, but steadily.
Purpose isn’t a straight line. It’s not one final destination. It’s a path that opens step by step as you walk it.

And every time you follow your intuition, you become more aware of the obstacles in your way — not to discourage you, but to show you what needs healing.

And this is where the Ankh has been a true companion for me.
It helps clear the blocks, reveal the patterns, and open my path again and again.

If the Ankh has crossed your path, or if you keep seeing it, or if you feel drawn to it without knowing why — trust that.
There’s usually a reason.

The Ankh found me “by accident,” but the timing was perfect. It opened something in me, and I’ve been working with it ever since.

So if you feel the pull, follow it.
Be open to what the Ankh wants to show you.
It might be the key you’ve been looking for.
