Is it just a fun occasion to watch Donnie Darko and dress up as a creepy ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐ง-๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ ๐ณ๐ข๐ฃ๐ฃ๐ช๐ต?
Or is there more to this day?
Actually, there is more to Halloweenโฆ
Is it about death? Yes, in a way. But death is also about rebirth.
We seem to have forgotten that.
Traditionally, Halloween is a celebration of the arrival of fall. The summer season of hard work and harvest has come to an end. The leaves are falling off the trees, and now it is time for turning inward. Now, it is time for rest and renewal.
It is the feminine part of the year ๐ค The part of stillness, healing, introspection, regeneration, and preparing for new life.
In our culture, we may look at death as an ending, but we didnโt always see it that way.
After all, death is an integral part of life. It is the end of something, but also the beginning of something new. In many cultures, death is celebrated, as the soul moves on, and prepares for its next incarnation.
By (re)learning to embrace the natural cycles of life, we can flow with life in a way that is much more natural to who we are.
So letโs take a moment today to be thankful.
To welcome in the new, and embrace this season of stillness. ๐๐ So we can appreciate this season for all it has to offer ๐
It is also a moment to remember all those who have passed on and who we miss every day. To remember them, and keep them alive with us in spirit -and realize their souls are still with us โจ
But yes, Halloween is also a time to just have some freaking fun! To embrace the spooky side of life, to dance, dress up as the creepy rabbit, and watch ๐ฟ๐ค๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ฟ๐๐ง๐ ๐ค ๐ (the absolute best movie for Halloween) ๐๐ท๏ธ๐ฐ
๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป!
