Are you looking for some spiritual inspiration and shows to watch on Netlfix? Look no further! These are the 7 best spiritual shows on Netflix at this moment, in my opinion.
If you know of any more (or new) shows, don’t hesitate to share them in the comments!
1. Surviving Death
The 6 episode long docuseries Surviving Death has to be the number 1 on this list. I have watched it twice and absolutely loved it!
The series kicks off with an episode on near death experiences. This phenomenon keeps amazing me. When you hear about people’s near death experiences, they are often a variation of a somewhat similar out of body experiences. This episode really brings the stories to life, and also shows the profound change that these experiences have on people.
There are also episodes on the synchronicities that people experience after losing a loved one, and the extrasensory experiences of people in the months before they die.
The episode that stayed with me the most, was the one on reincarnation. It follows the early life of children that seem to have a recollection of their past lives when they are in their early childhood. This is probably the most jaw dropping episode in the series!
Two of the episodes are about mediumship and are also mind-boggling. All in all, these series are very well put together and a must-watch in my opinion. Check it out and see for yourself!
2. The Goop Lab
In The Goop Lab, Gwyneth Paltrow and her team at Goop (her lifestyle company) explore different experiences that are still relatively undervalued or taboo.
They dive into an intense form of energetic healing that uses a way to awaken the energy flow along the spine. (While watching it, I was wondering whether this technique is inducing a Kundalini awakening in the body… Let me know if you have the answer to this!)
Energy healing is definitely a form of healing that is currently still undervalued, but is surely on the rise. I love that the Goob Lab is bringing this under our attention 😀
Another episode is showing some of the team members participating in a psychedelic healing circle. I love how they were open to share this experience with us on screen! Psychedelics are surely still an undervalued tool for healing and increasing consciousness.
Also the episodes on Wim Hof breathing and mediumship are a must-watch. Check it out, is all I can say!
3. Headspace: A Guide To Meditation
Whether you are new to meditation, or already have some experience, it is definitely worth checking out the Headspace: Guide to Meditation.
Andy´s calm voice and the fun visuals will get a smile on your face and will instantly make you feel relaxed.
Each episode gets you to experience a different type of meditation in a very easy and accessible way. You don´t even have to think about it for too long, just sit back, relax and press play.

4. How To Change Your Mind
In the docuseries How To Change Your Mind, which is based on the book with the same name, Michael Pollan takes us into the world of psychedelics (such as LSD, psilocybin and Ayahuasca).
In the different episodes, he explores the benefits of psychedelics on various conditions such as depression, addiction and other types of suffering that people go through.
Both the series and the book explore how psychedelics help us to increase our spiritual experiences and how these can help us heal. The use of psychedelics goes back way further than we have proof of (we know that psychedelics helped the human mind and species to evolve into what we are today!), but has to shake off the frame that it has gotten in more recent times.
Michael Pollan does an excellent job of re-opening our minds to the amazing benefits that psychedelics have to offer.
5. The Sandman
The Sandman is a fantasy drama series based on a comic book with the same name. It tells the story of Dream, who is in charge of the dream world.
It is an entertaining series if you prefer to watch something more in the fictional genre, rather than a docuseries (as there are more of those in this list).
I would love for Netflix to release more spiritual shows such as this one for sure!
6. Brené Brown: The Call To Courage
In The Call To Courage, Brené Brown explains how vulnerability is our greatest power and asset. Daring to be vulnerable takes the greatest amount of courage, but is also what leads to the greatest authentic, inspiring and valuable form of leadership.
We can only experience true meaning and purpose in our lives when we stop being afraid of what will happen when we face our deepest fears. This film will change your mindset and show you that the key of living your best life is right there in your hands.
Brené Brown’s book Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead is also worth checking out. I read this years ago, before she came out with her film on Netflix about the topic. Both are great!
7. Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru
Although the documentary Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru has been on Netflix for quite a while, I felt that it needs to be on this list. The documentary follows Tony Robbins as he is at one of his main events for personal development, where people from all over the world fly out to.
He has an amazing and unique way of showing people how they already possess the power to move forward and improve their lives. He just holds up a mirror so they get to see a different perspective and understand how they can change their situation.
Check it out and see for yourself!
