𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻? 🎃
Is it just a fun occasion to watch Donnie Darko and dress up as a creepy 𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘧-𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘣𝘪𝘵?
Or is there more to this day?
Actually, there is more to Halloween…
Is it about death? Yes, in a way. But death is also about rebirth.
We seem to have forgotten that.
Traditionally, Halloween is a celebration of the arrival of fall. The summer season of hard work and harvest has come to an end. The leaves are falling off the trees, and now it is time for turning inward. Now, it is time for rest and renewal.
It is the feminine part of the year 🤍 The part of stillness, healing, introspection, regeneration, and preparing for new life.
In our culture, we may look at death as an ending, but we didn’t always see it that way.
After all, death is an integral part of life. It is the end of something, but also the beginning of something new. In many cultures, death is celebrated, as the soul moves on, and prepares for its next incarnation.
By (re)learning to embrace the natural cycles of life, we can flow with life in a way that is much more natural to who we are.
So let’s take a moment today to be thankful.
To welcome in the new, and embrace this season of stillness. 🍁🍂 So we can appreciate this season for all it has to offer 😊
It is also a moment to remember all those who have passed on and who we miss every day. To remember them, and keep them alive with us in spirit -and realize their souls are still with us ✨
But yes, Halloween is also a time to just have some freaking fun! To embrace the spooky side of life, to dance, dress up as the creepy rabbit, and watch 𝘿𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙤 😝 (the absolute best movie for Halloween) 😜🕷️🐰
𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻!
